Constructing a Watchlist

The A0 model uses a combinations of indicators, including but not limited to: 1. TrendMeter Indicator: This looks at EMA (Exponential Moving Average) crossovers for three periods. If the most recent EMA is above the short, medium, and long-term EMAs, it’s considered one of the buy signals. 2. SuperTrend Indicator: It generates buy signal using a multiple of the Average True Range (ATR) over time. We optimize the parameters for these indicators using Walk Forward Optimization (WFO). This means we tune the parameters on historical data (e.g., 2015-2021) and then test them on a later period (2022-present) to improve reliability. The MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) is a momentum-based trend indicator that helps traders understand both the direction of a trend and the strength of market momentum. It is built from moving averages, which means it reacts to price behavior rather than predicting it. MACD is widely used because it combines trend-following and momentum analysis in a single, simple framework.At its core, MACD measures the relationship between two exponential moving averages (EMAs), most commonly the 12-period EMA and the 26-period EMA. The difference between these two averages forms the MACD line. When the faster EMA moves away from the slower EMA, momentum is increasing; when it moves closer, momentum is weakening. This makes MACD especially useful for identifying when a trend is accelerating or losing strength.A second line, called the signal line, is typically a 9-period EMA of the MACD line. Crossovers between the MACD line and the signal line are among the most common MACD signals. A bullish crossover occurs when the MACD line moves above the signal line, suggesting growing upward momentum, while a bearish crossover indicates increasing downside momentum.
